Brandywine Bay – Post Florence Update #4

Good evening Brandywine,We hope everyone continues to stay safe, and if you are traveling back to the area this weekend, please be careful on the roads.

Cleanup efforts throughout the neighborhood have picked up, and crews are busy clearing debris as quickly as possible.  Please be very careful around the workers, and be patient if they have to block the roads for a minute.  We have set September 30th as the last date that you can pile yard debris along the road, so please have all of your yard debris pickup completed by that time.

If you have any household debris (i.e. shingles, siding, etc) that you need to dispose of, Carteret County has opened a disposal site at 293 Carl Garner Rd. in Newport where you can drop it.  Brandywine Bay will not be providing household debris pickup, so it is up to each individual property owner to haul it away or have it hauled away.

We have received several reports of roofing and demolition companies potentially attempting to solicit business within the neighborhood.  Please be very careful on who you hire, and make sure to do background research on the individual or company before hiring them.  Please see this article with tips from the Better Business Bureau for avoiding scams:  https://www.wxii12. com/article/bbb-offers-tips- on-avoiding-post-disaster- scams/23366829

Lastly, we want to reiterate the request that everyone stay off of the golf course, off of cart paths, and off of cart bridges, unless you have permission from the owner to be there.  And if you hire someone to do work on your property, it is your responsibility to make sure they are aware of this information as well.

Thank you all, and please continue to exhibit great caution while driving or walking around the neighborhood.
